Change Abounds

in #podcast3 years ago

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve taken a moment to sit down and write anything, but there have been some changes to the website I wanted to walk through.

The first is a new client! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Erin Silver on Life After the Uniform for the last several months. Let me tell you, Erin is a delight to work with and her show is incredible. Her audience is primarily veterans who are looking to transition to civilian life, but the show definitely has something for everyone.

The second is my pricing model. I’ve had the pleasure of being on a few discovery calls over the last few weeks and have realized that how I had services laid out was, to put it nicely, a mess. I’ve thoughtfully gone through all my services, grouped “like” services together for two packages, and added some “a la carte” services. You can view all of them here.

The first package is to help you get started. If you want to start a podcast but need to talk through it with someone with some expertise this package is for you. During an hour-long phone or video call, you and I will walk through what you want your show to look like, determine your values, and verbally identify some strategies for sustainable success. Following our call, I’ll write out a vision statement for your show, make equipment and hosting recommendations, and work with you to produce a trailer for your show.

The second package is a slightly beefed-up editing package. This is for you if you have a show going (it might even be the one we discussed!) and you want someone like me editing your show, placing music, and writing show notes. I use Adobe Audition to edit and generally assemble episodes in multitrack so that it’s easier to put things together in a semi-seamless fashion.

Finally, there are several add-on options available to you. For those of you who have been around for a while (this website has existed for over 10 years in one format or another!), you may remember that I’ve worked my butt off to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies and a Master of Arts in Public and Nonprofit Administration. As a result, my research and writing skills are really excellent.

These skills will both be really useful to you if you want to have a better handle on a topic but don’t have the time to do a deep dive yourself. I will research the topic on your behalf, give you talking points, and if this is helpful for you, I’ll also spend up to an hour talking through the topic with you.

I’m also glad to research and apply for grants on your behalf. More and more organizations are investing in indie content creators and I’d love to help you get funded! The time it takes to get your message out there is significant and you deserve to be compensated for your time.

In addition to show notes, I can also provide full audio transcription of your podcast episodes. Not only does this help your show be more accessible, it improves the discoverability of your show!

Let’s be honest – you might have a great idea for a podcast but getting started in recording might be out of your wheelhouse. I would love to work with you to help you be self-sufficient in this arena and will sit down with you and make sure you’re comfortable recording your episodes.

The last solo-service I can provide to you is booking your guests. Coordinating schedules can take a lot of time away from what would otherwise be a really productive day for you. Let me do the coordination so you can focus on making great content!

The absolute last service listed on my website is one I do in partnership with an extremely talented young composer. If you’ve listened to the music on What the Finance or GraysMatter Podcast you know what I’m talking about. I’ve listed “based on availability” because Caleb is a multi-talented individual and he may not have the space to take on another project.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I would love to work with you! As always, while the prices I’ve listed are ones I believe are fair I’m also open to negotiation for the right project.
