Cultivator of all genres, his work is as prolific as it is popular; novels such as The Truce (1960) or Thanks for the Fire (1965) were adapted for the big screen, and various singers contributed to spread their poetry by playing their verses.
the old ones were about thirty.
A puddle was an ocean,
death plain and simple
did not exist.
Then when boys,
the old people were forty.
A pond was an ocean,
death only
a word.
When we got married,
the elders were in their fifties.
A lake was an ocean,
death was death
of the others.
Now veterans,
We already caught up to the truth.
The ocean is finally the ocean,
but death begins to be
ours.
