Love

Burning in your chest

Raucous and riveting

Love

Seared in your mind

Never benign and ever present

Love

Overtaking emotions

Titillating and tactile

Love

Love All

But not at the expense of yourself

Love

All horrors begin by loving someone

who does not return existence’s only warm embrace

Love

Love to want to love

Feel the cascade encompass your every atom

Love

Share the ecstasy

It’s the only way worth living

Love

Author’s Note: This is the first poem I have ever written. Recently, I went through not just a heartbreak, but THE heartbreak. I don’t believe I will ever get her back, but writing, talking with other loves, and of course time have helped ease the sometimes debilitating pain. Reach out to people in times of need, it could just save their mind, life, or the world…or maybe even YOURS!
