A House For Mom

in #poem7 years ago (edited)

My mom never looked at us

She saw the ceiling, the sky, the moon, the clouds...

Mom wasn't made to live in this world.

We grew up taking care of mom

Preventing her from being destroyed by her own feelings, and be consumed by her own longing

A house ... a beautiful house was everything we wanted for her

And she never asked for it, but her heart was consumed by the silent wait

We became adults, but the world was very difficult for us

We became poorer in an instant, and Mom no longer had the strength to work

We couldn't keep mom, and she didn't want to stay with us ...

How could I blame her? She loosed everything to give us life

Mom was adopted by our clones; perfect clones

The clones gave her a house, a perfect house

Large, beautiful, full of food...

A house surrounded by admirers waiting for her

And gallant people who lived to serve her, and her love was more perfect than ours

We were happy for Mom, while she finally received what she deserved so much

But we couldn't see her anymore ...

How? If she didn't want us anymore

She didn't need us anymore

We lived a happy life, just knowing about her happiness was enough

We, surrounded by darkness and claustrophobia, saw her from afar with our small window

In that great mountain, surrounded by happiness

We look and look through the window until we loosed our strength

Happy, we slowly closed our eyes

We had no money and no food

But we had the most beautiful thing in the world

In our hearts

We had mom
