We profess to be pious,
but in sin we rejoice.
We make a show of kindness,
but hatred is our heart's fondness.

It's all so freaking hypocritical.
We pretend and do 'eye service',
yet our work ethic is a disservice.
We keep up appearances like the Joneses,
but our lives are thorns and thistles, no roses.

It's all so freaking hypocritical.
On media, we praise and exhibit admiration,
but we privately hold same people in derision.
We post cute pictures of prosperity,
but the reality is less than austerity.

It's all so freaking hypocritical.
Shouldn't you rather shut up and live in sin,
than fake godliness and to God be unseen.
Why not show sincerity of heart,
and let love be your art.
