THE VAMP
Catch that damsel
She is a vampire
Sucking from those victims
Tormeted by vagaries of emotions.
She trots around the streets
The devil on sandals
Clothed in gorgeous apparels
You may be devoured by lust!
Catch that damsel
Do you have the power?
Or she will overcome you
With her psychic tools.
She goes to pay masters
An exchanges vapours of pleasure
Payers mourn in the dark
Moment of regret.
The subject of sexual promiscuity is highlighted in this poem The Vamp. This poem seeks to expose the emptiness in the lust-proactive appearance of the wayward woman who goes around looking for a man to woo. The poem describes her as a vampire, one who sucks blood. Also the poem portrays her as one having powerful psychic tools to enchant, overwhelm, control and exploit the vulnerability of her victim
