Golden Path

wandering the golden path
covered o'er by leaves
and windblown sands
from ancient lands
and massive flood debris

rocks with carvings
strange and true
cultures lost to all
ruin'd temples grand
beyond our ken
from long before man's fall

crossroads meet
at every step
labyrinth of life
mandala cutting clearly through
buddha's diamond knife

our hearts know it's the right way
though minds at times be lost
attaining magic seat of light
regardless earthly cost

clear light rays
both bright and dark
mind's eye wide to see
each one half to intertwine
the shadow and the tree

alkemic gold forever glows
shining inner sun
path revealed
secret known
when all sums up to none

there is no point
were we not to grow
far beyond we are
these flowering souls within us
now fruit as heavenly stars
