whispered: stay
(I have to go I said)
my beloved country
begged: stay
(I have immigration papers, I said)
my beloved country
cried: stay
stay
stay
(You are a cruel country, of great violence, I said)
my beloved country
wept
but you love me?
(Yes.)
stay then
(I left. Forgive me.)
my beloved country mourns
