GONE
Gone;
Like the wind on its Eastern travel:
No goodbye hugs, no reassuring smiles,
With her back against all reasons
And her ears deafened to repeated pleas.
All in a futile attempt
To shut down memories of times time won't ever forget.
Memories;
Like that one time when one promised the other,
Whilst twined in an intimate pose,
Never to compromise our affection
For anything less than life itself...
How time flies,
And with it, the lustre of our love;
Waning slowly,
Like the diminishing strength of Damocles' sword.
Gone;
Like the sun on it Western plight:
Chased off by the same reasons
It darkened circumference once glowed.
As I watched her step away from my miserable life,
I held back the heated tears, being a "man",
Only to let all out
On the softness of my over-bearing pillow...
