Hello Steemians!
I was searching through YouTube's free music and found a beat that immediately inspired me to write a poem about working out. Here's what I came up with!

There’s a place called the gym
Where losers go to win
See all the people and the work they putting in
Is not just for looking slim
It’s a life style a modern way to live
But you’re only gonna get what you give
So don’t tell me you don’t give a shit
Or I’m doubling the reps
I started taking my diet seriously
And now apparently I’m not such a low energy tragedy
Fuck all that talk about gravity
I’m not stuck to the couch or the ground or the balcony
I’m jumping out of this house with all my baggage with me
Hitting the gym like it’s time to get back on my feet
I’m back on the streets
Jogging then running and sprinting
To be a runner you have to be driven
That’s ironic but it really isn’t
Cause the trails aren’t always home where you’re living
I’m home whenever I’m getting my fix in
And right now that’s whenever I’m benching
The universe is calling me to lift big
I’m just scared of losing my legs before using my legs
And half of these people ain’t even using their heads
I get a pump going blowing me red
I focus on my breaths and keep pumping the reps
I’m amazed at the shit I can do in the gym
It’s insane how it feels when you raise it by ten
It gets a little tougher but then
You keep on pushing pushing pushing it in
You’re getting it in
You’re done feeling lazy it won’t happen again
I’m tired of always dreaming about getting me ripped
But not making changes to the way that I live
And making them stick
I’m ready for anything different to this
No wonder I started dieting and hitting the gym
I was fighting rioting about the person I is
All it takes is handful of sweet M n M’s
And then I’m back on the binge
Fast food snacks too had me too sick for the gym
But not anymore, that’s not how this ends
I was born to be an athlete
I was born to wear Nikes
I was born to be out on the street
Running around doing my thing
I was born to be a stud
I was born to cause a fuss
I was born to yell and cuss, but instead of doing that
I just go out and run
I was born to hit the gym
I was born to fucking to win
I was born to get up feeling good and I am
I was born to eat Vegetables
I was born to drink water
I don't think I could do what I do
If I didn't change my diet to be more proper.
