White Out (Original Poem)
A fractured perception of self.
A relentless assault of
Numbing shards
Formed in the wake
Of another's indifference.
The mind gives way.
The body crumbles.
A vessel drained and shattered,
Lies in wait,
Wrapped in frozen serenity.
A warming amnesia
Courses through hollow veins.
Failures slip away.
Consciousness slows,
The breath turns pale.
