Beautifully Hurts: A Valentine-Special Repost

Today, the whole world is celebrating Valentine's Day -- a day when almost everyone rejoices and celebrates love with the ones who mean so much to them. May it be in a simple way or a grand one. Love indeed is everywhere especially on this very special day, that if you walk along the streets or somewhere else you like and ask people on their own definition of love, they can surely give a meaningful one.

For now, since I am just at home, I just personally ask myself with this question:

WHAT IS LOVE FOR YOU?

And I answered it through writing a poem...

Love is when you see light in the dark
Darkness that stops you from seeing even just a spark

Love is when you walk through the rain
Rain that soaks you only with so much pain

Love is when you climb up a mountain
Mountain that tires you up even if you're a captain

Love is when you pick up the broken mirror
Mirror that shows your tears and chosen error

Love is when you swim against the wave
Wave that tells you no one will ever save

Love is when you smile in sadness
Sadness that kills you slowly in loneliness

Love is when you stand before the crowd
Crowd that shouts that to you, no one is proud

Love is when you get hit with a rock
Rock that tries to wake you up from a mock

Love is when you make night a day
Day that mourns 'coz you're longing for that 'someday'

Love is when you're full even if your empty
Emptiness that embraces you from feeling lonely

Maybe love is just so cruel to be kind. It teaches us a lot though we have to be hurt many times. You know how hurting it can be but you keep on loving as if you haven't ever felt love from somebody. I salute those who love with joy, kindness, sincerity, forgiveness, contentment, care, humility, openmindedness, and no regrets. We are all capable of that but there are just times we feel unsafe for ourselves. Are you willing to come and risk once and for all? Who knows? You might find the one that you are here for. ❤❤
