RE: POP MUSIC HAIKU: "These Girls" (Why Don't We)

in #poetry7 years ago

Heeheee, thanks @dolivero. I am not well versed in K-pop though I am vaguely familiar with the korean pop scene. Hmmm, maybe I should go east for my next music review...hold it, let's round this out for any passersby:

Ok, not speaking a word of Korea (except bulgogi...which we all can agree is delicious), I would be hard-pressed to critique the lyrics. That being said, there is enough visual stimulus here for Tolstoy-length commentary. Whoa!

YES! That was the video that I wanted you to watch. Please now watch this one:

If you search the lyrics of their songs, usually they talk about social issues, like consumerism and making children study like machines. They're pretty interesting! Obviously they have love songs, but I don't consider them the typical boy band. That's why I thought you may like them. Besides, the visuals are great, yes.

Whoa, this is like an orgy of porcelain skin, colored contacts and coiffure-magic. I need to go grab a lyric sheet so I can dig a little deeper here

I love that comparison! It's perfect, hahahaha.
