We Need A Haiku To Save Us PT 3 :Captain America! (New Year's Special)
I'm back with my third installment of superhero haiku's, this time on the Man Out Of Time Captain America himself! This will be my last re-posting of haikus I've written for another site, from now on my next installments from now on will be exclusive to Steemit! So bring in the New Year with micro-poetry about your favorite super-solider! (First installment here: http://bit.ly/2lzj7To)
in the war effort
Captain America did
So why shouldn't you?
Steve Rogers, frozen
His young ward Bucky is dead
The war is over
Arnim Zola laughs
“Now I can be everwhere!”
A shield doth strikes him
A Man Out of Time
Only a few know his plight
The few, tho mighty
Abraham Erskine
a scientific genius
Victim of hubris
The Red Skull Storms in
Rogers gears up to strike him
The cosmic cube glows
Time has been undone
HYDRA has taken over
With Steve as despot
Cap may be damn tough
But he's just a Brooklyn boy
In his heart of hearts
As he regains sight
He's shocked to see an Iron Man
“Welcome back, Captain”
Baron Zemo thinks
“I must find the rune stones first”
Rogers must prevail
Sam Wilson swoops down
He drops Cap in HYDRAS fort
it's up to him now
Happy New Year!
