"Pinocchio's Tears" - A Poem
Pinocchio wept in a corner
Beseeching the gods,
Not to restore
The wisdom and grace
Of the ancient tree
Reshaped into his limbs
Whose leaves had known the tastes
Of a century of sunlight and rain
Branches, home to many
Inching skyward daily...
Instead he begged
For the pure but fleeting joy
Of being a living, breathing boy
As promised, here's one of the other poems I wrote yesterday-ish. I even managed to write another one today 😄.
Peace & Love.
And special thanks to everyone who read and/or upvoted my last poem. I'm touched!
