Plastered. Day 35 poetry.
Peeled and pulped
Ruby red
Reapplied in strips
Papier-mâché
Remodelled
Vilified with scripts.
Dried to rock
Judgement call
Adjudicated false
Chipped away
Segment fall
Accusatory fault
Raw again
Sharp red rose
Covered now in spikes
Sure defend
Shards of rows
Converged upon with pikes
The structure, rhythm, and words all pronounce harsh sharpness. Makes me think about those who cut their own flesh. Honestly I think we all do that one way or another.
Good poems arouse emotion, thought, and spirit. Nailed it!
This poem describes "keep going", no matter what, keep going. I loved the words you used, they provoked deep emotions, i am in a similar contest and you might want to stop by to leave a review.
Keep steeming,
Love,

Loving the staccato rhythm you've achieved with one - it reflects the restless, antagonised imagery perfectly.
I love what you did with alliteration and cacophony in this poem. This poem felt like it had a lot of freedom in it. I really enjoyed it. 😎
