Talk to your girl
She maybe facing a difficult challenge
Or a deep pain that refuse to heal
They are part of us
Delicate and fragile
So we need them alive.

A father once refused her daughter education
Because she felt it was not necessary
He saw her as an ordinary investment
Get married and get richer via brideprice
She lost herself due to her father negligence
Now she is an illiterate with no future.

Jennifer was harrassed by older men
Because she was endowed at a younger age
She had no one to report to
Because they never listened to her
Now she lived in a miserable life
And she is not ready to stop being wayward.

Talk to your girl today
Teach her about moral values
Let her know the kind of world we live in
So she can be prepared ahead
This will definitely make the world a better place
And we can all live peacefully.

I wrote this because of a story I heard recently about a young girl in my area that was harrassed and had no one to talk to because she felt they wouldn't listen. If not for Divine intervention of a social worker around that talked to her, she would have committed suicide. Parents should talk to their children, guardians should do too. We can learn alot more if we talk to them. We can know what's on their mind, their pains and fears then find solution. Thank you.
