Held by the darkness (an original poem)
Pushing down, so heavy,
so incredibly strong.
The darkness overcomes you,
It will be over before long.
You have tried to get up,
Just needed some time,
You thought you could wait,
But that was all lies.
You look at the darkness
It doesn't look deep,
Hands go right through it,
The price isn't that steep.
Using all your might,
You crawl to the side,
The shadow is where you left it,
The darkness has died.
Easier to say,
And harder to do,
The only thing in your way,
Was realizing it was you.
