A Heart Touching Poem
The title is Querida Mama (dear mama) and within the first few lines it had me almost in tears.
I read stories on those who are being deported and see it on the news everyday, yet it still doesn't have the same impact as what I read in this poem.
Many could care less about this issue, but I have many friends who come from foreign grounds and I have heard their stories on how their homelands are and how they have come to be refugees. It saddens me so much, and it hurts me even more knowing there isn't anything I can do to help.

This is her poem...
Querida Mama,
I hope one day I will be brave enough.
Enough to tell you that I see your pain
and although at times I have been
ungrateful
to you.
You who have know me my whole life
and through it all, loved me with all your might.
I know
I see
I have witnessed all the sacrifices you made for me
for you
You have left your own familia, you have left your home
and you left behind the only world that you had ever known
you left behind your Mejico lindo y querido.
I see it in your eyes
and I hear it late at night, when you whimper small cries
all the uncertainty and pain
that fills your heart.
Every time you hear ilegal or watch Trumps spew talks of a wall
I sense the fear that overrides
and takes over your soul and mind.
I hope one day I will be brave enough.
Enough to tell your story
to all
the story of my mama
the strongest woman I have ever know
who worked the longest hours for the smallest pay
in order to put food in my mouth
and a roof over my head.
My mama
the one who's hands feel like sand paper
but heart is softer than silk.
My mama
who gave birth at fifteen
and dragged me miles away
so we could live the American Dream.
My mama
who gave me the sweetest name of them all,
Dulce
and sweet for you I will be.
For you
mama
I promise to not be afraid,
I promise not to let the words ilegal and deportacion
fill my heart with fear and rage
I promise that I will try my best
and dispite our undocumented status,
I promise I will dream
dream of a day when you are no longer in pain
I promise I will reach
reach for the stars and my goals attain
te prometo mama that one day you will be proud to say esa es mi niña.
Sincerely,
tu querida hija, Dulce

Deportation can be a problem to the families, yesterday I read a very disturbing story, similar to this one, of a father who lived in the US for 30 years and was deported to Mexico. He had to leave his wife and children behind. Something is very wrong...

Sitting my lonely dark office, this got me emotional and homesick (currently working and living away from home). This is such a lovely piece ~ and definitely portray the immense love a child has for his mother.

This is sad and heartfelt because it was obviously written from the heart......... irrespective it is a nice poem indeed
I'm for legal immigration because I don't want any foreigner to be taken advantage in any way, e.g. cheap labor, votes for those who consider them less intelligent than they are, therefore, they keep the minorities in hellholes because they either depend on the Government's socialistic programs or no matter how hard they work can't ever keep up with the cost of living. The Government must create jobs, and stop stealing from their Citizen's hard labor in order for them to live a lavish lifestyle and statch money away in foreign Countries like Mexico.
The school system must stop indoctrinating our children and educate them to compete with their counterparts from Asia and other Nations who take pride in preparing their children to compete for good jobs.
We are a Nation of immigrants our forefather worked very hard to make this Republic the best for them and future generations, the question is can we keep our Republic?
This Country leaders must stop to be condescending to those who put them in power, although lately, I'm wondering if our leaders are selected by those who own most of this Country's wealth I'm digressing, it will be nice if whoever is in power treat all citizens as equals. To conclude Mexico and other Countries are wealthy, however, only a few own it, thereby, leaving the majority destitute to the point that families are broken up in search of better places.
This Country needs a wall to protect its citizens from the incoming drugs and the likes of MS-13 street gang who had murdered our young people, like Seth Rich, 27, was the director of voter expansion for the DNC. Thank you for the poem it moved me to tears, but my emotions do not solve the problem.
Reffuge is a thing that only those can understand who face it or closely observe it.. it is really panic thing... #joseph
