Charms on a Pandora Bracelet
Wearing broken hearts like the charms on a Pandora bracelet.
Unaware she’s the first victim of her short circuit.
Her autopilot’s hunting progress with naivety.
The silver bullet keepin’ her allies as enemies.
Backed by centuries her eyes live in sin.
Pride and instability feeds the devil within.
That’s why we need to breathe.
When you’re in the tempest it seems
To be all encompassing.
So the body trapped,
Lets the mind loose to seethe.
Hoping that in its diabolical bitterness
It’ll cleave safely through the mess.
This reaction is born of fear.
The wise know to keep their demons near.
Rejection in place of acceptance,
Guarantees bein’ lost eternally.
Our shadows are locked in the dance.
Embrace this and the mind entranced,
Breaks free.
Breathe.
And Dream.
And do both consciously.
The mind clears and one can see,
That the key to life
Is Love.
