"Road Fork" by @margaretwise in Poemchallenge (orginal work ).

I stopped at the fork in the roads,
looking at the sky, I am looking for a solution.
I fold my hands in prayer,
I'm not afraid, because you're with me.
Two roads at the edge of the forest,
I do not have much time.
One road smooth, even,
the other is bumpy, full of mud.
I'm watching closely,
prayer will spread.
I choose and take steps.
Though I'm stuck in the mud,
I fall, I raise,
I follow faith.
Tears come to my eyes,
I am beginning to doubt.
I'm dying, I'm losing strength,
I lift my head from above the mud.
A bright beautiful glade,
birchwood has added, the grass is rustling.
Thank you, Lord,
that you did not doubt in me.
You helped me persevere,
in my way home.
To my home without blemishes.
