Demons of my nightmares - Poem

I heard them call your name
I felt them tear at the walls of my mind
They scratched at my soul

They wanted me to give you up
For they know that you protect me from fear
You keep it at bay so they cannot pray on it

You shield me with your energy
And the demons of my nightmares
Are burnt be your aura

They cannot trespass
Their evil is too weak against your truth
Their darkness is nothing in your light

You are the universe itself, and I
Am part of you like you are part of me
The God within you is my saviour

I worship the ground that you walk,
I pray to the song that your soul sings to mine
At night, they sing and they dance in the astral realm

They cannot be separated for they are one
And the bodies that we posses
Merely enact the essence of our souls in flesh

You are my truth, my light, my darkness
You are my strength, like I am yours
For our souls are compliments of one another
