Poem - Lines in Sand
I wrote this one a long time ago and rediscovered it today. I've been through some testing times of late and this just reminded me to keep going. Hopefully it does the same for you!
Lines in Sand
We draw lines in the sand
Hoping they withstand the rising tides,
They never do
And yet we next build castles
We walk with candles in our hands
Hoping the light never fades,
It always does
And yet we let the wax burn us
A line in the sand
A light in our hands
It's all that we have
but it's worth it
And all that we need
In the moments we lead
Is the hope that our lives
will be perfect.
Withstand waves and wax
You are endless
Endless...
