If change is the only constant,
then how do you promise to stay the same?
If there was always love for
me behind those eyes,
then why did you say you weren't in love?
If there was always more
to everything that you said,
then why did you question the
uncertainty in my answers?
And, if it was always about us,
then why did you make it just about yourself?

Damn that was deep, especially the first sentence.
That hit hard. I never really thought of this before. People in relationships keep promising each other on how they would never change. Yet, they do. Not because they necessarily want to, but because they have to. That's just simply what we humans do. We change. Always.
