The sun still rises

You will get there,
Sitting next to that beautiful boy
Your arms outstretched
Your fingertips lingering
Your mind drowning
Drowning in this crushing feeling
That something you did was wrong
Outside lights are pouring
Streets swirling
The sun rising
‘I just don’t know’
I laugh
You barely stir
I did
You looked like the rest of my life
But I see
Running’s no good here
I feel you dying
In me
