Interesting and a good rule for your life - if you 'don't give a damn' about things just disregard them.

I've got a quote of a fictional person that I've been using as a kind of maxim for my life:

"Reputation is what other people know about you. Honor is what you know about yourself. Guard your honor. Let your reputation fall where it will. And outlive the bastards." (Aral Vorkosigan, A Civil Campaign)

Important in life is that you are OK with the things you do, the way you live. Other people are only as important as you let them be. Live your life to the fullest without thinking about those that don't like you. Don't feed the trolls ;)
