Another (original poem by me)

When doing your best just isn’t enough.
When you try and you try but the world says give up.
When you try to do right by your family and friends.
When you can’t reach the mark that you’ve set in the end.
When the light flickers out as you sit in the dark.
When you’re protecting the one that you love from his mark.
A scared little girl who’s crying for Jesus.
Needing help from the demon who cuts deep without reason.
When you shut off emotion.
When you lock up your past.
When you can’t face the pain.
When life’s curse has been cast.
Where do you go to find healing and grace?
Where can you turn to see God’s loving face?
Where can you turn to find healing and peace?
Where can you look when you’re down on your knees?
God sent me to you at this time in this place.
God sent me to join you in white satin and lace.
When you’re lost and alone.
When the road’s been too long.
When the pain and the fear have diminished your song.
That’s when Gods there to remind us of love.
That even the devil can’t block from above.
He loves us so much and he knew we would suffer.
He loves us so much that he promised another.
So he sent me to you to rekindle your flame.
Knowing our love could heal even the lame.
