Winter - a poem I wrote about the winter months a few years ago

Winter

Summer has finally left us, autumn leaves left long ago.

Long snowy winter upon us, the clouds are lingering low.
The blustery bite of cold winter wind nips at our noses and toes.
The solstice sun sets early; we warm by the fire and glow.
The boots are lined up at the entry way, the coats hung in a row. Scarves and gloves scattered about warm themselves so slow.
Whistling winds and snow become friends, gathering drifts they blow.
Winter

Thank you for reading. I wrote this poem several years ago at the beginning of a long winter and the painting was also painted a few years back.

I'd love to hear your thoughts
