'Situation'

My mum would have said
I'm a girl prone to 'situations"
She'd have commented on how
Trouble could find me a world away.
And she wouldn't have even been wrong.
I'm a wanderer-- an explorer and adventurous
sort of human who cant stay in her tiny 1bed, 1bath
apartment, with her bf, one cat and mind-numbing job.
I'm not really that type of human, I'd like to think.
That, despite my many troubles and mishaps,
my luck overall has been on my side. Wrong
turns bring new sites, stolen wallets get
returned, though a bit lighter. Picking
up grandmother toads, even if they'd
end up peeing on you, bring laughs.
I may be prone to "situations", but
I think I'd have it no other way.
