I remember all those afternoons...
Hey Friends,
Sheets of foam slide along the sand
rushing into cover tiny toes
that scramble back up the shore
children happily giggling in the escape.
Watching the waves slip back
to sea
repeating until the
thrill subsides
and the sun soars against
the azure
brilliant and cloudless
baking in the summer sauna.
I remember all those afternoons
lazy recollections in
the twilight
though I no longer run
preferring now the swirling cool
that splashes over tired feet
tasting the salty kisses
floating on the gentle breeze
basking in the easy promise
of another holiday routine.
Thank You
