Time’s Metamorphosis

In the quiet gloom of a timeless room, where shadows dance and play,
A whisper stirs in the silent hours, of change that comes to stay.
"The only constant in life is change," a voice both faint and clear,
Speaks of the bittersweet truth we face, with every passing year.

For there is sadness in the farewell, to the old we know so well,
Yet beauty lies in the metamorphose, where new stories dwell.
Does the butterfly, in its flight so free, mourn the loss of what's been shed?
Or does it revel in its vibrant wings, and the sky that lies ahead?

Oh, the caterpillar has spun its tale, in threads of silken lore,
And from the chrysalis of yesteryears, the butterfly does soar.
With wings that paint the azure skies, and flutter in the breeze,
It does not mourn the form it wore, amongst the verdant trees.

For in the heart of transformation, lies the essence of our being,
The cycle of life, ever-turning, is the truth forever freeing.
So let us embrace the change that comes, with both joy and sorrow's tear,
For in the end, 'tis the dance of time, that we all hold so dear.

“The only thing that never changes is that everything changes. It’s bittersweet because there is sadness in the loss of something old but beauty in the transformation into something new. Does the butterfly mourn the end of the caterpillar?”
