The Ego’s Labyrinth
The Ego’s Labyrinth
In the depths of the psyche, where shadows dwell,
Lies the ego, a story most complex to tell.
Once integrated, we think we're complete,
But alas, 'tis a cycle that ever repeats.
“As above, so below, as within, so without,"
The hermetic law whispers, leaving no doubt.
In every dimension, the ego takes form,
A reflection of self, in the calm and the storm.
We scorn the ego, when it runs untamed,
Yet without its anchor, we're lost and unnamed.
It grounds us in reality, in the here and now,
A necessary evil, to which we must bow.
For the soul to soar through dimensions untold,
It needs a foothold, a reference bold.
The ego, thus serves, a function so clear,
Uniting the high and low, far and near.
Heaven or Hell, in this realm we create,
With every thought, action, and debate.
Together we weave the fabric of fate,
In the grand design, we participate.
“People integrate their egos once and think they are all done. Often this creates a feeling of spiritual superiority not realizing that they have fallen into an ego trap in a higher dimensional plane. The ego is the inner wounded child that has been programmed through pain and trauma. Unfortunately the ego has many layers of collective pain that must be confronted and healed. This inner child manifests in some form in every dimension. The hermetic law of correspondence states “as above, so below, as within so without”. Meaning the things at work in our three dimensional reality are manifest and working at higher dimensions as well.
People love to hate on the ego especially when it rages and runs wild but a healthy ego serves an important function. It anchors and grounds us in reality. It is all well and good for a soul to be free to fly to the heights of infinite dimensions but at the end of the day the soul needs some sort of foothold within reality otherwise the soul becomes lost in the confluence of it all. A healed and integrated ego serves that function. It holds all the memories and lessons from that reality and allows our higher adult self to navigate around its programming free from fear. Without this anchor what reference point does a soul have to manifest what is higher into the lower dimensions.
If you are reacting from a place of fear you are coming from the inner wounded child that is your ego. Heaven or Hell is what we make it together right here and now.”
