The Unseen Gaze

In the silent breath of night, where shadows cast a timid spell,
Whispers the unseen wind, in a voice both fierce and fell.
How do we see its ghostly dance, its silent, ceaseless spin?
Does it vanish from our realm, when sight's curtain draws within?

Does the world itself then pause, its existence held in thrall,
When our eyes, those orbs of judgment, no longer see at all?
Yet what if in our hearts we carved, a space for the unseen,
Would the wind then show its form, in the quiet in-between?

Perhaps the world is not so shy, nor the wind so slyly veiled,
Perhaps our hearts have shuttered tight, their inner sight assailed.
For if we opened wide the eyes, that dwell within our core,
We'd see the wind, the world, the all, and then so much more.

So let us ponder deep and true, the nature of our sight,
And consider well the wind, that moves in day and night.
For in the heart's unclouded gaze, the unseen finds its kin,
And the world, in all its splendor, is cradled deep within.

“How do we see something as invisible as the wind?
Does the world cease to exist when we close our eyes?
What if we made space in our heart for the possibility of the unseen?
Perhaps we would find it not so invisible after all.
Perhaps we would discover the eyes of our heart were simply closed.
After all, we don’t see wind…
We feel it.”
