IN THE EYES OF A SEARCH FOR FREEDOM (Poem by Smokinglems)
Do you have any idea why I am here?
I didn’t purposely went here all by myself?
I may be a rescued cub during my younger years,
but I may also be a stolen kid from my mother's care.
You can’t see any bruses co’z my fur is thick,
I might have struggled wildly while they take me from my keep,
or maybe I found hope when all hopes are lost,
when I see the light shines reaching to me in a stormy rainy dawn.
I see creatures in the square glass window like those that I saw before,
maybe they are the one who keep me here in this four stone walls,
hoping someday they will pitty and realize that I am like them,
with feelings and soul who is longing to see home once again.
If you look into my eyes maybe you’ll say im just an animal,
who doesn’t have any reasoning and understanding like what you have,
but if you look deeper and deeper in me you’ll see my soul,
you will realize that I have emotion and tears same like yours.
Walking back and fort waiting for the time,
when I can have the chance to see the other side,
I forgotten what it’s like to be out there with green, red, yellow and blue colors.
I don’t know when I will be free, all I know is, when the light goes out, and I close my eyes, I’ll be seeing colors again and finaly I’m home.
