POETRY: STELLAR HEARTBREAK by BONG
Hi Steemit cuties!
I have always been so obsessed with poetries so I am gonna feature one of my fav. poem that inspires me alot to write 📝
Stellar Heartbreak - bong
I've always wanted to be closer to the stars than I am now.
I envy the astronauts because somehow, they can be closer to them than anyone of us ever can.
maybe I'll never be able to take a closer look at the stars.
maybe I'll never know how it feels to be slowly pulled by their gravity. maybe stars are never meant to be seen in that way by me.
but one night,
a star fell right in front of me.
unlike any other crash sites, there was no crater on the ground,
no damages, instead there was a beautiful piece of the universe.
her dress blossomed like a supernova explosion around her.
her body formed constellations with all the lights the she passes through.
she started walking towards me and
I can feel her gravity slowly pulling my soul towards her.
there were many lights around, but she stands-out because she was the only one twinkling. her footsteps light-up every piece of grass she steps onto.
she painted galaxies on her way to me.
and when she was close,
she reached out her hands to me
and so did I to her.
we held hands and I can feel time and light-years just passing right by us. it's like I could spend my whole lifetime with her hands on mine.
but just when I thought we were on the same orbit, she left.
she left, leaving no pieces of the universe behind her.
she left, bringing my whole universe with her.
and the galaxy that she painted around me was replaced by a big black hole that swallowed every piece of me.
I never thought that a star would bring me pain that I didn't need.
I never thought that stars are capable of breaking hearts.
how could such a beauty break me like this?
and then my days were filled with maybe's after she left.
maybe she's searching for another star, whom she could feel that she truly belongs with.
maybe she deserves the whole universe, and I could only offer the her all of the stardust that my body is made of.
And maybe I have mistaken the ground as the crash site.
maybe I was the crash site, because she left a big crater right on my chest.
Aww! That was heart-breaking 💔. The star represents a friend that is so dear to me. I know the feeling of having that one particular person who brightens up your life but will just disappear without further notice 😭😭.. How cruel is that? But you're right, "maybe she's searching for another star, whom she could feel that she truly belongs with."Great job @sprman28! It really moved me 😉
