Poetry- Heart Felt

I surrender, I surrender to the fear
Cause now i know you aren’t here
How can i move forward
If i can’t stop looking back
Back times where we were close
To times you once cared
How could i ever be free
When my heart can’t take another beat
Now as the gates of my heart go shut
And as i am closing too
The river washes me away
To A place were a mask
Will be my only face
Because I am cold like virgin snow
Heart of rock and blood of stone
For pain has no relevance to me
Who am i , who can i be
i will fade away into a dark abyss
But I will always remember
the touch of your lips
Your hand tight onto mine
And that loving look in your eyes
Even if those memories fade away
The sound of your heart beat will remains
It will be engraved in my soul
For all eternity and forever more
