Forbidden? #Prose

Your memories pierce me with longing
My spirit's sense of belonging
I crave you when are not around
I swear I have felt my mind go round
Feeling like my energy has just wandered off
And I wonder
Why is love intensified by absence?

It's hard being the one who stays
While you freely roam faraway
Bringing back the tales of sojourns in Rome
I am disturbingly prone
To watch the wind play with trash
And wonder
Will I ever know such freedom?

Like the carefree wind to play with you
Caressing your delicate skin as cue
As I shamelessly drool at your dripping delights
Ready to counter our fights
To release this hunger I feel inside
And let you wonder
Why you never gave me a chance?

I wait by the doors of my needs
Looking to have a glimpse
Of your love in a realm of friendship
Hoping it would strip
The blinds barricading your forbidden touch
And stop wondering
What it entails to die in your embrace?

It's almost 5am and I have just woken up... My not having wifi for two days has had me on the edge as the ink oasis is full and the need to spew some choking feelings has me on my toes like a ballet. There needs to be a balance in life and since I don't have an existing real life aside from work, school and motherhood plus micro family relations... this community becomes the balance.

The piece above was inspired by my current read... The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey NiffeNeger which also has a film I hear but never watched it.

I have this habit of extracting a single phrase or even a word from a read and coming up with my own creation... The beauty of it is how the content doesn't have to match what I am reading. The book is about a pure kind love... Rare if still in existence. My piece is more of being in love or attracted to one's friend.

So... how are we doing?
