Killing Time

I said I didn't want to just kill time with you.
There's not enough time left to go hunting time down
and stringing it up
and dragging it along.
You said "it's not like that."
I asked what it is like and you said
you never wanted to kill time either
you wanted to spend it with me.

It's a good thing that's true
because if you had been "just killing time"
you would have killed me too.
