Sunrise Walk

in #poetry7 years ago

We saw a puppy marshmallow, a cabin house, and a dinosaur skeleton in a bird bath. Isn’t that silly?

The houses in the neighborhood have the more character than any I’ve seen before. So much woodworking detail and princess balconies. Color schemes creating personality and wind chimes bringing voice to the snow laden block. Tiny footprints in the snow cultivate a childlike imagination of wonder about itty dogs with limps and raccoons and foxes.

At Bardo, mama dog greets us at the door with her brown face and nose. I hold the door open for her loving dad, an older man with kind eyes like grandpa joe.

I can see a little more twinkle today like the snow sparkling in the morning sun. Cotton candy sunrise sky, coffee in Prospector’s tin cup, giggles making steam chug out our hungry mouths. Not hungry out of desperation, hungry for life and vitality and rich muses around every corner.

You never know what you’re going to see next when you’re present. It gives life so much more room to be spontaneous and alive. Hold no expectations and they will always be exceeded. More love, more pulse, more conversation and caring mothers with babes at their breast.

Music turning to curtains and floor sitting cushions, hookahs and belly dancers. Thank you for transporting everything, my mighty friend. My mind is not the enemy, it is the beautiful house of my imagination.. a mansion full of ducks and candy and ballet dancers in beautiful dresses. Flowers blooming and exploding my skin. Bees trickling about searching for treasure for their queeen.
