Poetic Summary of a Book - Redeeming Love - Francine Rivers (Part 4)
The visitor was shocked,
"Is this my in-law's 'new' wife?", he had thought,
But she wasn't,
She remained defiant,
Afterall, she never asked to be married,
Her dreams are of more importance,
This happening is a way out,
She told her husband,
She was expecting a rage,
Instead he calmly forgave,
His reaction was unexpected,
She decided she'd leave again,
She wasn't worthy of him,
Or his love,
She belonged elsewhere,
The dark voices reminded her,
Do not forget your dreams,
Will she ever change?
Early before sunrise,
She left again,
This time, as fast as she could,
In a different direction,
He looked again for her,
At noon, she was tired,
Her legs could not take her again,
Then she saw a rider coming her way,
It was the visitor,
Scornfully, he offered her a ride,
While she paid for the ride with her body,
What's more?
The marriage vows never mattered,
Only her dreams did,
He gleefully savored every lustful moment with her,
Dropped her at the next town,
Where the brothel was located,
Miles away from her husband's arms,
But does she 'really' have a husband?
And one more thing - Will she ever change?
Yes, she was beautiful,
Every one stood in awe of her beauty,
But deep inside lies a heart of stone,
A great wall of self-condemnation,
She soon found out,
The brothel was burnt down,
The 'Dame' has relocated,
Tired of all,
She went into an inn,
And they offered her a job,
A place to sleep,
And pay her,
She had no choice,
She worked as a waitress,
Working with her might,
And the first day she was paid,
She felt an aura of clean pride,
It was her first 'clean money',
Made from the work of her hands,
It seems a redemption had began,
But will she ever change?
One night,
While preparing to sleep,
She heard a knock on the inn's door,
And when she opened,
It was her husband!
Hmmm...is she ever going to change?
...to be continued...
