RE: " inside god " a sound poem by @greatdabu

It's chill and hip, I especially like the processing on the voice for texture, and your verse is compelling..

Isn't this what we've been calling "spoken word" for about 50 years now- poetry done with music/sound background with or without other media?

Gil Scott Heron didn't invent it either, it goes back a lot further- but he certainly raised the bar about 10 notches. He was certainly one of my favorites from the 1960's.

Thanks so much for your feedback @tvulgaris , much appreciated. Yes Gil Scott Heron was a great poetic force doing spoken word with music and maybe include the beatniks style with rhythm instruments..... Did you ever listen to The Last Poets? I think they were more in the 70's. They were in that camp as well. It's probably as old as humanity. And I'd say hiphop /rap is another branch on the spoken word tree. This sound-poem style going on here is another branch. The sound and the visuals and the actual words floating around is a spoken word style for the digital age. But the Poem is still the basis.

I have to wait for more mojo to vote you up.
Keep up the good work.

Same here. I'm following you. Thanks again.
