The Heavenly Clock

Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick
Ticking away on its own
Irrespective of any other ticking
Its record being supreme

Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick
On its way, blasting its horn
And constantly ticking
Under a programmed regime

Its winder knob, none can tamper
Its operating hub, none can alter

If in your favour
Your moon shines even in the day
And glorious at night
While your star remains bright

If in your disfavour
Your sun sets before rising
You'll not put a foot right
For your day turns to night

When not in tune with its beat
You'll stumble and fall into a pit

If you insist on being faster
Your legs wobble and melt under pressure
And if slower
You'll crawl to waste in a dark hole

To see and follow its pointer -
A priceless treasure
But none sees the clock except a seer
Because it's on heaven's wall
