Paradoxical Fix : Shattering of a Mender

He broke you
After a long time of being together
He broke you
As if you were insignificant
As if you had no memories shared
Like you were not an Eve
Like an invaluable young lady.

Yes he broke you
That is why when I found you
I'm not sure how I will talk to you in a way you won't be annoyed
I could sense that whoever talks with you
Can never solve the burden in your heart
Cause your face says it all
Your tears continuously flow
Down your weary eyes
Your burden for sure is hefty
It's evident even if you don't speak.

So I mended you,
with my constant questioning if you are just fine
Initially, you remained silent but I forced you on the next
Until you screamed and I felt your utmost resentment
I attempted to leave after I gave you my handkerchief to dry your tears
But even before I can leave where we were
"Wait, I don't need a handkerchief.
What I need is someone who can fix my bleeding broken heart"
Your words lingered and pulled me to you.

I sat beside you and you leaned your featherweight head on my shoulder
I patted you
As I felt your tears endlessly flow down my shoulder
My mind was completely puzzled, on how I can help you
But suddenly you stopped crying
After I said the words
"Don't worry, I will stay right here until you completely forget about him"

And from that day
We were inseparable all day
We talked on the phone before sleeping and after waking
We don't let a day pass by without communication
And as time pass
I didn't see that your love is eating me slowly.

I lived in a world where you are my everything
I lived in an illusion where it is us
Until one day you broke me.

Yes you broke me
The day you said that it is still him you love
The day you said without hesitation
"Please leave me"
When I learned he went back to you.

You broke me
As if I did not mend you
As if the memories we had were nothing
As if I was nothing to you.

And now that I'm completely shattered
I don't expect anyone to make my repair
Because I believed,
That love is sometimes messy
Because the one who has caused our heart to jump for joy and feel secured
Will also be the same person who makes it bleed.

Love is indeed mess
You don't know when it will come and when it will leave
My story ends here
Where the once leading lady in my life
turned out to be the antagonist who broke my heart.
