Lion Heart In Me
There's a lion heart in me,
A jungle buried, wild and deep.
The forest trembles 'neath my feet,
Pads still soft protect my feet,
Golden eyed, far reaching skies,
Tear stained cheeks from those who've died...
The spirit raging in the night.
The roar that rumbles, undenied.
The fangs that sink into the flesh,
That feed on dark and emptiness.
This Panthero Leo, free and great
Commands power in his wake.
Weaker prey swiftly flee
Let his victory cover me.
In his pride and in his life
Encountering war and empty strife.
Endless hours and countless days he will spurn his kingdom's praise.
There's very little he won't see,
Resting quietly stills the beast.
Breaking cages, ropes and chains
He's lost all and wins again.
Unleash the lion, and the dove,
Contain them both in this word:
