Prizes

  • 1rst Place 7 SBD
  • 2nd Place 5 SBD
  • 3rd Place 3 SBD

*Disclaimer: The winners are based on the entries which the judges think are the best. I am not saying anyone is a bad poet, we will not say that. Instead, we seek to offer you our encouraging and supportive feedback as a fellow poet. Our opinion takes into consideration many things that can add or subtract to the value of a poem, including:

  • grammar / Does it make sense?
  • flow / Are there any unclosed loopholes that leave me confused?
  • rhythm
  • rhyme
  • imagery / Can I imagine the pictures the words paint?
  • feeling / Does it cause a reaction?
  • and emotional pull / Do I suddenly have an opinion?

Yes I am the only judge of the poetry dice contest right now, but I am wishing and hoping someone else will want to join in and take a turn, too. Two or three heads are better than one, so if you would like an opinion too, please let me know and we can chat up which poems we like best for the week and why. :-)

Without further ado, I give you the Winners of Week 26 PDC3K!

Thanks again for participating in the re-vamped Poetry Dice Challenge 3000!

I really wanted everyone to have another opportunity to be inspired by a semi-structured poetry contest that is unique. Rory's Story Cubes have been an inspiration for me for many years, and Steemit has provided an opportunity for me to share that inspiration with you.

Whether you are taking a break from your own flow, or you desperately need pushed over the writer's block edge...this poetry challenge is for you. All of us coming together and sharing our versions of how the dice speak to us, is what makes this weekly challenge so great. I hope the roll of the dice will continue to be an inspiration for you and the ones close to you. Cheers! And thanks for all you do!

Greeting to all, I have read all the entries thus far, I have enjoyed them and I have grown from being allowed to take the poetic journey of creation with each of you. The winners will be announced in a new separate post on my blog @rensoul17. Since the rules were set already according to @robynegg's time zone we will leave it as such, therefore since @robyneggs time is 3 hours earlier than my time in Georgia, in the U.S.A. which means the contest will end at 3am where I am, which is past my bedtime, however, if I am up I will post the winners if not it will be posted early Wednesday Morning. Remember you are all winners be excited and very proud of your work always especially if you know you did your best. And overall Wishing all of you Much Success on Steemit. ~ Ren

Here's my entry for this week: https://steemit.com/poetrydice/@poetrybyjeremy/poetry-dice-entry-break-free

Thanks for joining us! Hope to read some entries in the future as I have time. :-) Cheers!

Oh! I love it @poetrybyjeremy this is magnificent. This piece covers the vastness of one's dreams in life. So many desire to just walk away and break free of the chains not only on our wrist but our minds. It was an illness that led me to my independence forcing me to stay home and find gainful employment on the internet. But something else happened it also led me back to me and my authentic self and I love the world that I live in now just as this poem describes. You knocked this one out of the park. Thank you for your entry.

Thank you for the kind and elaborate comment! I am glad that my poetry is managing to express that which i seek to convey! Thank you for holding yet another contest :)

Interesting observation on one dice, in particular, that seemed to dominate the story of your entry. Thank you for your entry @acrowland
