the drill was practiced
day in and day out
but then taught
to forget everything
every lesson previously done
and every exercise trained
faked

it was unfortunate
all the holidays off
and the time spent
studying and deepening
our knowledge
a sadness
about the forgiveness
of the forgotten

resurrected
in the fields
amongst the rabbits
and birds
and the deer
