ALIENATE

ALIENATE

I want to fit in
But then I don't want to blend
I want that connection
But I don't want the bond
I need a taste of wild irrationality but please not too much

There's a place for me in the slum
But I own a room in the castle too
The road calls me
The walkers worship me
But the blood that flows in me yearns a calmer haven

What do I seek in the plate that is not in the pot? I ask myself
Freedom, yes freedom from my very principles
If the woods excite too much why do I not lose my soul in them?
Oh the gong!! The flutes of the palace drives me back for each leap too far

My ear bleeds please take this deafening melody away
I need the wild.
I need the fortress, could I not court both??
Warm me before I stretch
Before I stretch and break then neither the wild nor haven accepts me no more
