Nostalgic beauty #1, childhood emerges!

in #pokemon7 years ago

As promised and offered hereby I provide my dear community with one of my passions; the Pokemon tcg classics.

Keeping in mind that there's plenty more to share and show, only time will tell which format would suit best.

Right now I've chosen to highlight;

Name: Umbreon
Evolves from: Eevee
Type: Dark

This is a rare holo (holographic) from the neo discovery set with number 13/75 meaning that the normal set has 75 cards. The neo set consisting of neo genesis, neo discovery, neo revelation and neo destiny featured ' dark' and 'steel' types for the first time alongside with 'light' and 'dark' name extensions, such as light Dragonite and dark Tyranitar.

This is definitely not the first set ever released in English as that's the base set which also has some characteristic cards, such as the epic charizard which you probably remember.

This magnificent Umbreon, drewn by Kimiya Massago from the neo discovery set was released in 2001.

That's already 16 years ago. we're getting old,folks.

Trivia: did you know that Pokemon originally started in Japan?

Are you about to look up your collection now as well?

That's nostalgic beauty #1. more to follow when there's some response :).

Have a blessed day!

Nice Umbreon!!! I never got into playing the card game but I do enjoy collecting them from time to time.

Nice, I'll post a beautiful japanese Charizard soon :). Which one are you really happy with?

I'll have to hunt up the cards and find my favorite one. Haven't looked at them in a bit!

Get the honey out, chief :D

The wife has a lot of original cards, I started getting them only a few years ago as presents for her. I know we have Greninja, and he makes a mean looking card.

the only game I do not play !
but admires who do.

Which ones do you play, mo?
