Update in my poker blog. Studying & preparing.

It’s been a while since I wrote here. I started my poker project which was playing 500k hands of NL holdem. I soon realized that I am super impatient and even though I had good results it did not feel good. I did not like the feeling of being on my own for 500k hands but wanted to find a coach rather quickly.

I stopped my 500k hands project and found a poker coach to talk to. He’s a really good guy and has been coaching for quite some time. He is very much into GTO. I have really learnt so much from him after ten sessions and probably 100k hands of play. However my results have gone down. I meant to be blogging about this on here (last post) but I was just too into playing and studying GTO.

My previous, exploitative style was not something I just made up in my head btw, but I rather learnt it from a killer in poker.

Sooo, I am now decided to go back to reviewing my exploitative style of playing. Keeping in mind some of the GTO theory for the better regulars. And I shall take a break from playing for a month, while I sort these things out.

Then I will complete the 500k hands and possibly get some more coaching :) Hopefully from the same person, he's really good for whenever I can move up and I have to play more balanced. I guess I just wasn't there yet. I still view it as a step forward to have the knowledge he gave me.

I like steemit and this is just a blog about things on my specific mind. Right now poker. It’s not going to be world changing probably. But if anyone is interested I will be happy to have you here with me. And if you’re a bot. That’s ok to. No-one is perfect…
