What game are you playing?

I know an online poker player named Bob. At least, Bob thinks he's a poker player, but he doesn't think about playing poker very much. Mostly he thinks about how poker games are unfair to Bob.

Bob is convinced that people playing with a HUD have an advantage over him and must be stopped. He wants the sites to remove hand histories, make all their tables anonymous, prevent people from choosing which table they play at, and give everyone a child-locked tablet that they can't use any software on in order to play.

Bob is convinced that people playing multiple tables have an advantage over him and must be stopped. He wants the sites to make sure players can only play one table at a time, or maybe two. And he wants them to make sure that nobody can play on a lot of sites at the same time by making their software super-bloated and clunky.

Bob is convinced that short-stackers have an advantage over him and must be stopped. He wants the sites to enforce a 100bb minimum buyin, have 48-hour rathole timers, and ban anybody who happens to win by playing with fewer chips than he does.

Bob spends a lot of time on internet forums, but he never reads anything about strategy. He reads all about everything that's wrong with how poker sites are run, and posts about how he knows just how to change it.

Bob hasn't yet decided that people who learn how to play poker have an advantage over him and must be stopped, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Don't be Bob.
